My daughter's phone was ****** 10/03/2025. I opened the case, blocked the phone, sent an incident report, advised them there's cctv footage where the incident happened. The phone used to be a contract phone, but I cancelled it once the contract was finished. I sent them invoices to show that I was paying for the phone. I lost my phone and when I claimed I used an invoice showing that the phone used to be a contract, and the claim was paid out. Now they are giving me stories that they can't pay with the invoices as proof, yet the numbers are there as proof that it was a contract phone. I went to Telkom store to try and get the contract, and they advised me that they can't help since I bought it over the phone. They gave me numbers to call for Telkom call center, but all those numbers just give me self-services and don't give an option to speak to a cons. It's like going around in a hamster well. I have sent pictures of my daughter to show that the phone existed and showing what type of phone it is. The fact that they are refusing to settle the claim is crazy. How else am I supposed to prove that the phone existed. The footage shows that the phone existed when they stole the phone, which they have access to. I've been with them for more than 10 years but I'm definitely going to be cancelling my policy.
I settled my mobi loan on the 23rd of Jan. They debited my account on the 27th. I've been calling them everyday for them to refund but it seems no one knows what they are doing. I don't know if I have to lose my **** first to get this sorted. I've spoken to 5 people already and everytime I hear a different story.
I had an issue with my Trojan spinning bike. I called them and advised that the pedals were making a noise and the there was a smell like something is getting burnt. They sent a technician out and I paid the call out fee. The next day when I tried working out, the pedals where still making a noise. I sent the consultant Sipho Chinga an email advising him of this. Though he did not respond to my email, but I got an sms saying that a fault has been logged and I would be receiving as call from the technician. The email was sent on the 11th of Jan, it's the 22nd of Jan and I'm still sitting with the same problem.

I ordered a rug for my bedroom. Starting with the delivery, there was no communication when the rug would be delivered like other companies do. I opened the rug a few days later and found that the rug was not as big as I expected and the quality was not up to standard. Definitely not what was advertised. I send them a return request and they advised that it must be in it's original packing and I must send pictures that it is and close it so it doesn't collect dust which I did. I had to send numerous emails following up as to when the rug would be picked up. The day the driver came, he left the rug as he said he doesn't have enough space to take it with him and he said he would come later to collect it. I had to call the driver again to ask him if his still coming back, which he did. The rug was collected on Thursday the 14th. From the time it was collected I never got any feedback. I sent them an email on Wednesday the 20th asking when I would be refunded. The response I got is that the rug has stains which they attached images of. That was rug was not like the pics that they sent me when I rolled it and put it back in the original packaging. The day I opened the rug, I put it on my bathroom carpet and when I saw that it was not what I ordered, I rolled it and put it back in the plastic. There is not way that someone stepped on it because I was alone. This company clearly takes chances and they have no customer services. This is not my 1st online order and I have never had such terrible service. They asked me to take pictures showing that the rug is in the original package. Why didn't they ask me to send pictures of the full rug. They clearly put those stains there because they don't want to refund me. Plus, on top of that they have a policy that they will deduct money from the refund for their driver coming to pick up the item. TAKEALOT and other companies have none of that nonsense. This company is TRASH AND A BIG ****. Refund me my money!!!
They broke into my home on the 27th of April. Door was kicked in, booth my butler looks were broken, and they had broken the stop nonsense wall. My husband and I did not sleep that night because of security. I called Standard Bank in the morning and was advised that they will a contractor to my house, they would come that day or the next day. Which puzzled my because we have a security situation, and you are telling me that their contractor might not come that very day. Fortunately, someone came that same day and advised me that they would send the report to Standard Bank and they would been in touch. This was Friday and it was going to be a long weekend. My problem is the cons did not offer me security or trauma assistance when I soke to her. I don't her about the damages and she advised me that we could repair the door up to 2500 and they would refund us. How much is a door that is broken? We are not talking about a broken lock here, the whole door was damaged, we couldn't even close it. After a spoke to the cons, I spoke to my other insurance Auto & General whom I've covered my home contents with. When I told the cons at A&G what happened, she sympathized with me and said "I'm sorry to hear that" which the Standard Bank cons couldn't do. When I told her we had a break in, she just asked me what happened and continued capturing the claim. Auto & General offered me 24 hour security for "4 whole days" which you only qualify for building insurance which I'm not covered for with them. I will forever be grateful to them. On Tuesday morning I called Standard Bank and they advised me that the claim has been settled, that time since I registered the claim, I had not even received one SMS even stating that the claim has been registered with my claim number or any progress whatsoever but every time I called, they would ask me for a claim number. I called again after I got a call from their contractor telling me they ordered the door so it should be there Wednesday, if not latest Thursday. I then called STD insurance and asked them about security, they advised me that they only offer security when the claim has not been finalized. I told the cons they never offered me security in the face place now they are telling me they don't offer security once the claim is settled. I asked her since it's Tuesday, and the door might only get here the next day what it supposed to happen. She then advised me that I would have to find my own security. I am utterly disguised by this company's carelessness and being nonchalant about our claim. They deduct money every month but when you need help it's like they are doing you a favor. I'm definitely going to cancel my building insurance with them and move it to Auto & General. I would move our home loan from them too if it were possible. They shouldn't bother calling me, I just want people to know that STD insurance doesn't see us as people but just a number.
Ordered the Sealy Celebration Plush Bed Set online on the 27th of November. The bed got delivered on the 1st of December. On the 6th of December, I tried getting on the bed and the bed made a noise. It sounds like it's the springs. 6 days of having the bed and already the bed is making a noise. What happened to quality beds? I sent an email to orders@dialabed.co.za on the same day and got a response that someone will call me back. No one has called me. I checked the reviews for dial a bed online and I see a lot of people have had similar issues hence I'm here. It's my first time buying from them and I'm kicking myself wondering what I got myself in to. I need someone to call me back so this can be sorted before people start going on December leave!
I called to correct my deduction date. It keeps on going to the 23rd of the month of the and I need it to be the 27th month. I've been calling them for for the past 3months. The cons I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. I just hope my deduction date will stay as the day I requested this time. Only giving the 4 stars because the deduction date is an inconvenience.
I've been waiting for my contact lenses for more than 2 weeks now. This company has such poor client services, you always have to follow up with them. You would think that you are not paying them and they are doing you a favor. Best believe I will not be using their services again.
I reviewed Makro with regards to my spinning bike being faulty on the 17th of June 2020. Hi, I bought the Tropan Elite 2.0 spinning bike from Makro 3 weeks ago. Already the right pedal makes a noise and I realized yesterday that the wheel has oil. I spent so much money on this bike because I wanted quality but clearly I was mistaken. Now I have to dismantle it, put it in the car and take it all the way to Makro. Let's not even discuss how heavy it is. I'm really not happy! I got a call from Nokuthula Seemane on the 23rd of June and she advised that they have escalated my query to Trojan. I haven't had any communication after that. This is unacceptable customer service as I have a R7000 faulty bike just sitting there. I want this resolved or Makro can have their bike back and give me back my money. Pathetic!!!
