Extremely disappointed with Computer Mania Greenstone. I wasted nearly 50 minutes driving there and back to collect an item they confirmed was in stock — only to be told at the store that it wasn’t available. No apology, no accountability. Why advertise stock you don't actually have? Completely avoidable frustration. Won’t be returning.
Samantha M from this firm aggressively pursued me for R122.99 on a Vodacom account THAT WAS PAID UP AND CLOSED on 1 January 2025 already. I provided clear proof — including a zero balance invoice — and sent multiple emails, but they ignored all of it. They kept threatening me with legal action and blacklisting without acknowledging a single response. Vodacom has now admitted the billing was incorrect and is processing a credit to clear the account. This kind of harassment and refusal to engage with the actual facts is unacceptable, reckless, and potentially ********. If you're relying on automation to ********ly harass people, perhaps reprogram your system to follow the law. I've escalated this to ICASA who have in turn referred the matter to the NCC.
Vodacom and their debt collectors keep harassing me over a R122.99 “debt” on account I0782186, which was paid in full, converted to prepaid, and officially closed on 01 January 2025, after my explicit requests to convert to prepaid between July - December 2024. On 1 January 2025, Vodacom also zeroed ALL my accumulated airtime, voice minutes, and data (which was paid for). This alone indicates their full recognition of the account's cancellation and marks the end of any billing period or liability on my part. They then issued a February 2025 invoice showing a R0.00 balance — yet now in July 2025 they continue demanding payment. I’ve sent all proof multiple times, but most recently, they’ve escalated to “draft summons” threats and pressure to enter into a payment plan — even though they are well aware the account is closed and disputed. This is not just poor administration — it’s borderline ********. This is unacceptable and a violation of the Consumer Protection and National Credit Acts, especially since: * The account is closed * Vodacom confirmed a R0 balance * All data and airtime were wiped on 1 Jan * I’ve legally disputed the claim in writing multiple times, but they keep threatening me anyway without acknowledging my evidence. In terms of Sections 14, 20, and 21 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Act 68 of 2008, I remind you that: I have the right to cancel a fixed-term agreement and not be held liable for charges incurred beyond the cancellation date - especially where the service provider has failed in their duty to process that cancellation timeously. I demand: * Written confirmation that the account is closed * That no credit bureau listing will be made * An end to all collections * A formal apology for the continued harassment and ************ If this continues, I will escalate to the NCC, Credit Ombud, and ICASA.
Good morning Cool Ideas are quick to send mails to collect money, but have yet to answer me after a month as to why I don't have internet. They refer me to Vuma, Vuma refers me back to them. I kept getting annoying payment reminders and threats of service being suspended, when I never had any service to start with. I've asked that they cancel the invoice requests and only start billing me when the service has been activated, which still hasn't been done after a month. Instead, I received a mail now saying my service is now suspended for non-payment. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mr Marvin Motau for their kindness and understanding today. As a deaf cancer patient and currently unemployed, I’ve been struggling to keep up with my insurance payments. Last year my request for assistance was turned down, leaving me feeling hopeless. But today, Marvin Motau took the time to listen to my situation and reviewed my policy, offering the help and assistance I desperately needed. I made a booking for a PUDO Locker 2 Locker shipment, from Joburg to Pretoria. Payment made, parcel delivered to the locker, courier picked up the parcel, and now the parcel is gone. No tracking info and they refuse to give me the name and details of the courier that retrieved the parcel. Managers have not responded to my mails, "Anita" was useless and doesn't read or understand a customer's frustrations, according to her I made a wrong booking as she had different info on their system. Now a courier has arrived at my old address wanting to collect a parcel? I'm waiting on info on my missing / ****** parcel!
I was charged R460 by Rhonda of Passport 2000 for a passport renewal (their website advertises they que for you and do everything etc.) I received a mail with instruction to go to Home Affairs and go to the front of the que as she did an online booking for me. Once there I sat for almost 3hrs waiting to do biometrics (nobody was queing for me like advertised). Once the passport was ready for collection, she advised that I must go and collect it myself. So in essence the website lies about queing for you and collecting docs for you, as well as the fact that they charge you money for making an online appointment, something that ANYONE can do, for FREE.
In April 2021 I paid up my account & asked that the account be closed. This was a nightmare as they refused to accept my money through a payment method they already had set up, so that they could charge extra admin fees and interest. I finally got a paid-up letter / account closure confirmation in September 2021. Now in December 2022, more than a year later, FNB has advised me that my name is still on a list saying that I owe Fevertree / Mediwallet money. I've mailed and asked for feedback but my mails have been ignored for the past 2 weeks. Thanks for the useless service fevertree finance, I'll just log this with the Ombudsman now seeing as you are ignoring me.
The Best dentists I've had the pleasure of dealing with. I'm an unemployed cancer patient and had badly corroded teeth due to chemotherapy. I've been turned away by 4 previous dentists who didn't want to fix my teeth, but the team at Dr Minnaar & Partners assisted me with so much love and attention, restoring my teeth, smile and confidence. Big shoutout to everyone I had the pleasure of dealing with over the last 6 months: the dentists & their assistants, oral hygienists, and admin. You are all rockstars.
I ordered a parcel from Evetech on 01/12/2022 and it was unfortunately sent out using Rhenus Express. 01/12 = Items ordered and paid for immediately 02/12 = Evetech acknowledged the proof of payment 03/12 = Parcel details captured. 05/12 = Parcel arrived at the Joburg facility. 06/12 = Parcel loaded for delivery. When I phoned to inquire about an ETA I was transferred to Operations, where the phone just rang on end. I called back and was transferred to Customer Services, who advised me that "delivery will probably take 2-3 days because it was a budget service". I can drive to the facility in 30mins and it would cost me less petrol money than what I paid to get a "budget service" and wait a week for a delivery that's from Pretoria to Johannesburg. I can order items from Cape Town and Durban for less money and it arrives the next day. If I knew it would take this long with this particular "courier" I wouldn't have ordered the items. Evetech also needs to be more transparent with their "services" that you pay for and advise you that they only opt for "budget service deliveries" that takes weeks to complete. Very disappointed and I won't be using the services of either company in the future.
