I booked a Pudo shipment this morning and unfortunately by accident booked the wrong locker size. When I went to drop the parcel off, it would not fit the locker. I since returned home and called Pudo to advise the mistake I made and would rebook for a new locker. However, when I asked them for a refund because of the mistake, they refused to give it to me. I'm absolutely astonished by this!!!. No parcel has been dropped and they have not lifted a finger. An honest mistake and they won't refund!!! This is outrageous... Fair to say, I doubt very much I will use pudo again. I will also go to social media. I've been using the Courier Guy for approx 12 years and this is unacceptable!!!
My Brother kindly gifted us a 24v inverter with 2x 12v 105ah deep cycle batteries for Christmas to power the TV and computer during loadshedding. When I was at the shop, I was taken through everything with the shop consultant. They also set it all up for me. I was told the average lifespan of the batteries was 2-3 years at 300 cycles. I was completely shocked to see that my batteries lasted a year. I was told by other people that are in the business of solar energy etc that these batteries should have lasted longer. So I approached deltec with my batteries and initially they kept repeating over and over again about the 300 cycles and because there has been stage 6 loadshedding a few times this has had an affect on the battery life. Now remember, we are under the City of Cape Town with loadshedding. The majority of loadshedding in the past year has been only stage 2. Yet again, like a broken record they kept repeating the mantra of 300 cycles etc etc. They then sent the batteries back to deltec for them to be inspected. Now, I knew this would be a futile exercise as they are not going to take responsibility... A trait that has become quite relevant in South Africa. Pass the buck and deny any responsibility. Although I was advised this would take 2 days, they took a week. Nonetheless, Deltec did give me a couple of batteries which were no good for holding a charge but at least I wouldn't have to worry about power surges damaging my equipment. They came back and once again had to listen to the same broken record. The branch manager popped in this morning to check my system at home to see if it was set up properly. Again, same story. I have since investigated further online. I'm pretty shocked for what I have found. Companies selling the same Deltec batteries as mine, are saying they are only good for 200-250 cycles with a 1 year warranty. This is not what I was advised when the system was purchased. I was advised that 300 cycles and no mention of a warranty directly from Deltec on the batteries. It has come to light, that it was all a sales pitch to try and sell their product to me. Also the rating that these deltec batteries have received by consumers have been poor on some sites. My part in all this, is I should have done more research before I allowed my brother to purchase this product. Take it or leave it, but I advise doing your homework 1st. Very sad but expected, that deltec take no responsibility.
I have been using The Courier Guy for the last 10 years with my business. Never have I experienced in the 10 years such poor transportation and handling like of late. 3 of my customers in the last 6 months have experienced loses due to the drivers/depot mishandling the parcels. In actual fact these parcels have either been thrown or dropped from a height due to the evidence of damage. All my parcels are always packed with extra precaution and with fragile labels attached to boxes. Yet the manage to still sustain abuse. I've heard of reports from other people that they are also experiencing these circumstances. The Courier Guy company either is not showing their staff how to handle parcels correctly or they simply don't give a damn. Extremely upset client.
Totally flabbergasted at the most appalling service. I ordered a battery from the store on the 8th July 2023 from Michelle at Claremont Home Appliances and was advised that I would receive the battery in a week. Nevertheless it's now 22nd of September and still not recieved it!!! I've sent countless amounts of emails with barely and responses from Michelle. At my wits end, I sent an email 2 days ago asking for a refund, however once again no response. This business is unprofessional and has zero customer service. If you are needing any parts for appliances. Look elsewhere. Shocking service!!!
My Apple iMac 1TB 32gb Ram was damaged. 2 weeks ago a damage report was sent to Discovery insure. They then sent their own service provider to the technician that did the damage report to confirm the report. All was good. Since then, Discovery insure have been nothing but a complete shambles. The customer service to get this resolved has been atrocious. They 1st obtained the details of the wrong machine. I've spent the best part of the week trying to conclude this with discovery and get a replacement machine but the staff at the call centre have been completely ***********. Yesterday I spent the day on the phone. Cut off 3 times, people promising to call back and no return calls. I've subsequently spent lots of lost time trying to sort this issue out. I've now been 2 weeks without a computer. Loss of productivity, time spent trying to resolve the issue and getting nowhere with Discovery staff. The second issue is that the spec of my computer is not currently made anymore. They want to downgrade my spec with a replacement. Surely an agreement needs to be made on something that will conform to my original spec. I pay high premiums for my insurance. Downgrading is not the solution. I'm trying to compromise with Discovery insure but I am not getting anywhere!!! Please, before thinking of going with discovery insure, please do your homework.
On the 12th April 2023 we returned a faulty electric blanket back to takealot. We were shocked that it took so long to resolve the issue. They attempted to repair the blanket opposed to changing it. When we finally recieved the blanket again, it was still faulty. We once again sent back 4th June... This is utter madness!!!. It is now the 19th of June and still no resolution. This service is absolutely shocking. When someone spends the hard earned money and gets treated with this unacceptable lack of service delivery it's very annoying. All takealot needs to do, is either refund our money and we can go buy another blanket from a reputable dealer or send us a replacement. Their communication has also been appalling. Enough is enough now!!!
Knowing this store very well and their lack of stock, I always phone to find out if they have what I require. I've been let down once again. I made a phone call, which then directs you to a switch board. They then direct me to the Plumstead branch and as per usual no one answers the phone. I then go back to switchboard and lady asks me what I'm needing and if she can help. I tell her exactly what I want and says Plumstead have stock. Great news!!! I get in the car and drive to Plumstead. Guess what???? Plumstead does not have stock (as per usual) So I've wasted petrol and time to go to the store with the cer*****y of getting what I want. Gentleman says why don't you phone. I told him that everytime that I do, no one answers the phone. Sorry we are busy is his answer. Customer service is about providing a service. Pick up the phone when it's ringing and tell the person to hold. That won't take up much time and it shows you are willing. Yebo electronics are not only bad with customer service. They never have stock of simple electronics. They are about 3 times more expensive than anywhere else. They never display their prices either. To top it all, their service is atrocious. I use them when I'm in urgent need. As it's just too far to drive to the other very well capable stores, like communica and mantech, How Yebo electronics is still going is beyond me.
I decided to go with Discovery insure for my contents and car insurance. Discovery requested that I do a pre inspection on our 2 cars within the Discovery app and forward on to them. Doesn't matter how many times I tried it would not work. Then I went to Tiger Wheel and Tire for them to do the inspection and they said they no longer do it. I spent a good part of the day completely frustrated with this matter on hand. I spoke to an advisor at Discovery and they asked me to forward the pictures and they would deal with it from there end. I then got a message telling me they cannot do it this way. By this time I'm pulling my hair out. I called again and was assured by an advisor that sending him pictures directly he would sort out the matter. I have heard nothing since. This has been going on for a month!!!. On Thursday I went on to the Discovery FB page and complained. Someone sent me a message on messenger and assured me it would be sorted. Needless to say still nothing and it's now Tuesday 25th. I honestly can't comprehend how bad this service can be. Discovery were quick enough to sign me up and take my money but the service in relation to speed of taking my money is despicable. Discovery you should be ashamed of your lack of service delivery.
We bought a part which took 3 days to arrive. On receiving the part, we realised it was incorrect. We then returned the part and now the parts division are wanting my wife’s ID, banking details and a letter from the bank in order to make the refund. They are also stalling saying they are waiting for the refund 1st. I’ve never heard of anything more ridiculous. It’s a straight refund which we are entitled to. WITHOUT ANY COMPLICATIONS.
Before Christmas my wife ordered polyotter swimsuits for our baby girls with a promise of delivery on time. We had planned a holiday which involved a lot of swimming and thought it a great opportunity to get our babies in the pool and sea. Neither did we receive the swimsuits or even get an apology from loot. I since have phoned them on a couple of occasions to find out what is happening and have been told they would call back. I have not yet received a phone call. I also sent an email with a complaint and once again no reply. This service is atrocious!!! Not only did I babies miss out playing in the water on holiday loot don't even have the decency to make it right. I will never shop there again. I also will not recommend anyone to use [URL Removed]<br> <br> Very disappointed customer.
