Not to be trusted - Very unorganised
Definitely would not recommend this agency. Very unorganised and after moving out of a rental property 10 months ago, STILL have not received my deposit back from my landlord. The landlord claims Prophunt still have the deposit and in spite of numerous attempts my myself and the landlord, Prophunt have been ridiculously slow to react and I am still waiting for my deposit. Just ridiculous!

Not to be trusted - Very unorganised
Definitely would not recommend this agency. Very unorganised and after moving out of a rental property 10 months ago, STILL have not received my deposit back from my landlord. The landlord claims Prophunt still have the deposit and in spite of numerous attempts my myself and the landlord, Prophunt have been ridiculously slow to react and I am still waiting for my deposit. Just ridiculous!

Terrible Service – Do Not Recommend!
I made a booking with PropHunt Agency and drove 150 km to view a property, only to be told that the current tenant could not be contacted. No apology or explanation from the agent, Donna McNamara. I then reached out to the Principal Agent/Owner of the company, and as other reviewers have mentioned, I received the same dismissive attitude—no care, no apology, just complete disregard for my time and effort. As others have pointed out, this is a highly competitive market, and only agencies that truly care about their clients should succeed. Unfortunately, PropHunt Agency falls short of that standard. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them to anyone.

Unprofession and lairs
These are ****mers who lie to get you to rent. They made us pay a double deposit because the agent said our credit record is bad and therefore we have to pay a double deposit. We paid and lived in their flat, which is at 9 Madeline Road, Windermere/ Morningside, for 2 years. Then we decided to move because of many issues in that flat, including ******* entering the property to ***** clothes and some even breaking someone's car window. They never did anything to improve the safety of people in that flat. These people ****med us of our deposit from R8000 we only received 2000. When you live in the flat no maintenance is ever done, even when you report issues they will never respond. However when you are moving out this is when you will receive emails from maintenance claiming that they fixed this and that, etc. When you challenge them they will never respond, when you ask them to show you proof of all the transaction they made with your money, they go silence! Be careful of this agency. I thank God because my husband requested the other half of the deposit; otherwise, they would have taken all our R16000 deposit. Very unprofessional. We regret ever renting through PropHunt, and we are glad we moved! They do not even deserve the one-star that I rated them.

BEWARE!!!!! Complete *****sters
PROPHUNT PROPERTIES: LOURENS ERASMUS is the most *********** estate agent I have ever come across. I have left my Numerous messages and emails all well as unanswered calls. He keeps shifting the goal post. The company is a complete ***** and i who is the landlord along with the tenant of my property are in the process of suing the company for breach of contract. The tenant paid one month rental and one month deposit into their account including deposit for lights, deposit for refuse and deposit for keys all totalling R50 000 . R20 000 was to be retained by the company prophunt property as commission but instead they have retained the entire 50 k, leaving me with no deposit as the landlord while the tenant occupies my property. Lourens clearly stated prior to the contract being signed that commission would only be 20k and the Balance would be deposited into my account prior to the tenant moving in, the contract also Clearly states this.Lourens has since blocked my number and the Business has refused to take my calls which is extremely unprofessional and leaves me with no other option moving forward. Do not deal with this company, they are a bunch of *****sters and while it will cost me for civil litigation I will not leave this, even if it costs me more than what's owed to me! I am not the only person who has an issue with this Company , there are a host of others !

Prophunt is the worst ****ing rental agency on earth
Good day, I am really not happy with your service from Prophunt properties, if i could even call it ****ing service to begin with. I sent an email to the maintenance department about the garage door that does not open and close like it should, and that was a full month ago, no response...(all emails go unanswered does not matter which department of Prophunt), but you expect payment every month on a specific date.... Since i moved in here a year ago... no maintenance was done to the house, i pay an substantial amount to live here but the house is in a very bad state. Prophunt properties are a bunch of ****ing ****mers and have no loyalty to their clients... I gave notice and you can take this property and shove it up your ****... Should have ****ing stayed with Remax, they can teach you how this ****ing business works

*********, disrespectful and unprofessional company
Terrible experience renting a property from them They are *********, unprofessional and disrespectful. They do not communicate and make all these false promises. Rochelle and Nadia from the Ballito branch is so disrespectful and unprofessional I do not know how they do business. I will never recommend them infact more people need to know about how terrible this company is so they do not end up in a situation like me. They had 6 months of our rental in advance and still listed us as slow payers for no reason and the attitude was oh its nothing major this affected my business and they did not even apologies or acknowledge what they did. Save yourself the headache and find another company to deal with them this one because they will only take your money and make you spend more in the end.

Avoid Prophunt Properties
KZN Dolphin Coast - avoid renting through them if possible!! They are unprofessional, unresponsive, lazy, dishonest and quite frankly just stupid. Dealing with them was an absolute nightmare and I will never, ever deal with them again, whether for renting or buying. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

Avoid Prophunt Properties

PropHunt - Any NEGATIVE word you can think of describes them
This real estate agent is unbelievable. Unprofessional, liars and just total scammers. They don't return calls, staff lie about when they are in the office, they do not respond to emails and they find every single opportunity to not pay back security deposits. They don't pitch up for appoints and get their sister company to quote on all maintenance services at ridiculous prices. Their mission and I quote "Is to provide excellent service with INTEGRITY and HONESTY" which they do not have or know anything about. What's shocking is that it's not some of the staff, it's seems to be all. The manager is always in "training" I think he/she (nobody knows) trains the staff to lie and scam and how ro take people's money.
