I was parked in the afternoon in front of a City of Johannesburg pavement and a TRSS guard who wasn't looking sober at all, approached me and gave me 5 mins to leave lest he will have to deal with me or chase me away. I reported him to his supervisors and their response was; "Hi. So all Security officers, and Reaction officers fall under PSIRA. I have been mandted by my clients, to please ensure that there are no cars to park off or linger around the park or inside of BBQ Downs. Its a safety measurement and precaution that no ******** activity tak place in the area. That instruction was filtered down to my Reaction Officers, Sector superviaors as well as my SWAT and Sector Managers. It sound like the way it was done and handled, could have ben [sic] down differently, which i will address with my reaction officer/s" I have since the initial encounter met the same security officer, this time in front of my own residence and have been threatened again by him. I have since called his supervisor twice, no answer, no call back. I have also messaged them to address this, and have not heard from TRSS.

I have been an RSS Security Service ("RSS") armed response client for more that 5 years. On the 2nd of January this year I called RSS informing them that I wanted to discontinue thier service from the 1st of February. The following day on the 3rd January I got a email from Ms Marisa Potgieter of RSS's accounts department asking me to fill a form which was attached her email and return it. Which I did and returned the filled form to Ms Marisa Potgieter on the 6th of January.

To my suprise my account was debited by RSS, with the monthly debit order, on the 1st of February 2017 and a further debit order was also put through my account on the 10th of February. Another debit order went through on my account, again on the 1st of March.

I sent an email to Ms Potgieter on 6th of March complaining about these debit orders and requesting a refund. No response has been received up until now!! I do not understand why RSS is still collecting money from my account after I cancelled their service. RSS should refund my hard earned money!!!

When I signed up with RSS I specifically checked with their sales consultant, Vasili, whether I could cancel at any time. He mentioned that although the contract runs, by default, for 24 moths that RSS is not too bothered about early cancellations.

My initial fee was R399 / month. However, about six months into the contract my fee shot up. It took me months to get them to reimburse me. This, in effect, was already breach of contract.

I have had an increase to R458.85 and yesterday I received another increase letter that states that the fee will go up 8.5% (R497.85). This would mean that the fee has gone up by 20% in the 24 months!

I decided to cancel and now they want me to pay the full amount for the remained of the contract that runs to July 2017. This is most definitely a reasonable request from them. Even the CPA states that any cancellation penalty should be reasonable. What they are asking for is anything but reasonable and demonstrates their ill-will towards their existing customers. To add insult to injury they sell new contracts cheaper than what I am paying now!

On 14 Feb 2016 lightning struck a palm tree in my garden. My wife pressed
the panic button and even phoned to ask that they send the fire brigade as
the tree was on fire. To this day RSS has not even pitched at my house. Almost 1 year later.

I had similar poor treatment from ADT when I wanted to leave them and join up with RSS. It seems as though the security industry is just a money-making racket.

I have been dealing with Melanie Ferns but she refuses to even acknowledge the verbal agreement between Vasili, the sales consultant, and myself.

Dissappointing to say the least!

RSS security merged with TRSS. Their response time dropped to a whopping 1 hr and further to 1,5 hr response time when pressing the panic button.

We cancelled in Dec 2015, due to staff changes we had to reconfirm and resend the form in Jan 2016. They then after written instruction to not take the annual renewal and monthly DD, debited our account. We requested the refund Feb 2016... still waiting.

The radio, also advised in writing has been disconnected since January 26th. We get a call each week to collect the radio and consistent SMS's to "check your alarm". We have called, requested the refund and collection of the radio and each time we get "sorry I am new here, we will update our records"

Now 15 months later I get a bill from May 2015 for installation which was paid in full. At cancellation our account was all up to date... today we found out that they have been adding interest and want their money.

rss security south africa is a disgrace to the security industry and trss security is not only lacking but also an utter disgrace to security in South Africa.

SASA, SANSEA, PSIRA should take away their license.

I reported a case of assualt agains one of the security guards at a complex in Lonehill. After repeatedly trying to get feedback on the issue, I am now being continuously harassed by said security guard to the point where I dont feel safe in my own complex. I would definately not recommend using this company as they are clearly more concerned with profit than providing safety.

I logged a call with TRSS Technical Department Wednesday 4th May after receiving an sms that my alarm was not going through to their Control Centre, they promised that they would send someone through on Thursday 5th May to check the Radio Link, Thursday no one arrived, called Friday still no response all in meetings, I have made 6 calls to RSS to get this sorted out, no luck. Called again this morning 08h00 am still waiting for someone to call me back as they were all yet again in meetings. I am not sure what a person needs to do to get assistance, I will be going to our local newspaper as well as our Residence Forum, the service from TRSS is absolutely appauling, definately will be looking for a new Security Company as this one is not worth staying with.

I have advised my Insurance Company of the lack of response and security and that should something happen then they need to claim all expenses directly from RSS

The service of TRSS been pathetic lately. Officers arriving 40 minutes after alarm activation or just simply they don't come. Trying to get explanation from Lucky is a mission. I cancelled my contract with them as I not paying for lack of services. Now I am on the mission of getting confirmation for almost a month. Crap company.
