Slater gym 👎👎👎
Join Slater gym at your own risk, the agreed deduction date is the 1st and the money has been been sitting in my account then all of a sudden I get a text saying I missed a payment and because of that I will pay an extra R50 , for what when the money is in my account but was never deducted??? Is this a **** to collect these R50??? Tasteless...

Maintenance is cheaper than fixing something when it breaks
So this review is not about bad service or rude people,I actually enjoy three rivers slater and their staff, my only complaint is that they do not do proper maintenance on their equipment,in petucular their treadmills or airrunners,this is specialised equipment and needs a properly trained tec to service them,but the maintenance guy at slater us not trained to fix them and they come back from maintenance worst than when they left,this is very strenious on people with back or knee problems,come on guys we pay our fees so please give us properly maintained equipment.It is way cheaper to maintain equipment than paying for repairs when the break.

Very very poor customer service
After I have made a review about Slater gym last week, this week I received a screen shot text of the Review that I've made from the manager who have been ignoring my calls🤔the manager then told me that his bosses called him and he is doing his investigation therefore he will get back to me. As I'm still waiting for feedback his colleague texted me today saying she spoke to the manager who promised to give me feedback therefore I should either pay or cancel the contract also bear in mind the 50% that I'll have to pay for cancelation 😳 so rude I tried calling the manager and guess what, not picking my calls again. Guys 1st of all they made a mess on my contract and I ended up paying before the date that was stipulated on the contract; I paid on the 19th of March 2025 instead of the paying on 30 March 2025. Guess what on the 1st of April they closed my membership saying I should pay and mind due the penalty fee is included. Slater officials misplaced the documents that they were supposed to send to their Head office for them to deduct from me on the date that I appears on the bank statement that i gave to them , So how am I accountable for that🤷 Slater gym officials must be taken to a proper trainings because really their administration is a pre -school administration and they are dealing also with adults. My experience with SLATER is traumatizing, hope their Head office will do something.

Very poor customer service
I signed a contract with Slater gym only to find out that I was made to take a lie contract. I tried seeking clarity and I was taken from back to forth over the phone until I decided to drive there because they were also dodging my calls. When i get there it was proven that the mistake was on the administration side of slater but still I was forced to pay before the date that was on the contract 🙄 Nevertheless I did pay though I couldn't understand because the contract binded me to pay on the 30th but the manager and other officials insisted that I must pay on the 15th. Fast forward the same month I paid I was still receiving messages of non payment and I would forward them to the manager and he will read without responding. Mind due the manager and his assistant were present when the payment was done. Going forward it happens that I lose the receipt that was given after payment and now I still receiving calls and messages that says I have never paid. I have experienced a very bad customer service at slater gym and I even stopped attending the gym because of the behavior I get and I must say it's very painful because now I am binded to pay a contract for two years yet only attend gym for 7 days.

Slater is daytime ****... DO NOT FALL FOR THIER EVERYDAY SPECIAL AND NONSENSE PITCH
Slater gym is a ****.. I met this white old lady in valley mall with this other black guy with dreadlocks, the guy was so in my face that I agreed to think about joining the gym. In the mist of everything he insisted on taking my details saying " so that when you come all the paper work would be done" This is where the greedy bunch shows their true colours, got a text from my bank saying something about Slater, dismissively I said yah I talked to them and hang up. It was sometimes late 2023 or very early 2024... Fast forward to March 2025 I owe Slater whatever amount and the bank keeps charging me the unsuccessful transaction fee, at times I get charged 5 times in a month..... Imagine... And worse part whenever I call or go to the gym myself that old B is never in her office or never available and she never bothered getting back to me...And people wonder why people set buildings on fire 😠😠😠 or pay people some visit in their homes because wow...Slater is a daylight **** and I wouldn't recommend it to even my dog...

On 27 December 2024 Steven of slater gym sasolburg give a written qwotation to me for membership at sasolburg brach, on 6 January 2025 we have been informed that the confract sighned on the 2 January 2025 is void as the price were invorrect given on the contract. How do you alter a contract price after contract have been signed. This according to me breach of contract. Unprofessional service, bad service!
Today i got told that my child is no longer alowed to go into the gym because they can’t handle him, my child has adhd so he is a busy Child, but here is the thing they have a small square area where the kids must sit and the expect them to sit there like a robot and do nothing, they say they have kid facilities but they don’t even have staff that is properly trained to handle kids and its not even proper kids facilities, we as parents don’t have someone to look at our child while we gym so that’s why we go to gym where they have kid facilities but they can’t even handle a kid that’s difficult some days because they don’t have any trained staff for kids, the way they handled the situation was not even done professionally, if u have kid facilities and have staff that can’t even handle kids properly or not even trained properly on kid care, its better not have kid facilities at all! I won’t recommend any parents to go to a slater gym!
