I am writing to formally commend Serisha for the exceptional service she has provided throughout the handling of my client’s recent claim. We had an accident with our work bakkie on 21st May and submitted our claim shortly after. By the end of May, all required documentation had been completed and submitted. We were told the payout would be processed, but instead we were informed that their system had crashed and payments could not be made. It’s now October, and we are still waiting for our bakkie to be repaired. The delay has severely impacted our operations, and the lack of contingency planning is disappointing. We understand technical issues happen, but this level of delay and lack of communication is unacceptable.

Our vehicle was damaged while stationary in a parking bay by a Courier Guy delivery van — no negligence on our part. We lodged a 3rd party damage claim with Westwood Insurance Brokers over three months ago. Since then, we have received absolutely no helpful feedback despite numerous follow-ups. Each time we are told to “wait for feedback” with no timeline or resolution in sight. This delay is unacceptable and unprofessional. If we do not receive proper feedback and progress on this claim by the end of this week, we will escalate this matter to the Ombudsman. We expected better service and accountability from both Courier Guy and Westwood Insurance Brokers.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received regarding a third-party claim. Upon my initial contact, I was informed that a case could not be opened for me. Following this, I attempted to communicate via email, but received no response (I’m a young female). However, after my father's intervention, I began to receive communication from the third-party claims committee. The initial email indicated a communication timeframe of approximately 21 days. My documents were submitted on April 1st, and it has now been over a month with limited updates. This lack of communication has caused considerable inconvenience. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, including calls from my father and my own emails, the response has been insufficient. I hope the company will improve its communication and responsiveness in the future.

On Sunday 6th April 2025 I was involved in a car accident of which I sustained head injuries. I was rushed to hospital for treatment, with that said the Tuesday just after my accident and after reporting the accident to my insurance brokers (Westwood Insurance Brokers) I received a call from Kerissa Pillay. Firstly the care and assistance I received from Kerissa Pillay during the call was heart warm. She took the time to ask how I was and doing after the accident, I informed her that I had head injuries and currently suffering from headaches. Kerissa further asked if she could assist by forwarding the claim form to my fiancé and could assist by helping my fiancé complete the form. I informed Kerissa that it is OK and that I will complete the claim form once back at home. After completing the claim form and forwarding this back, I have only received consistent feedback and world class treatment from Kerissa with feedbback every step of the process on where the claim status was. The assessor was appointed with in 48hours of the claim and the car has been assessed and towed to a reputable repairer. Still during this time I received consistent feedback and follow-up emails and calls from Kerissa while the car is being assessed by the repairer. I thus want to thank Kerissa Pillay from Westwood Insurance Brokers for her excellent customer service and support during this time. You are an asset to your company and the insurance industry with commendable performance and support. Keep it up, we need you! Regards Cameron Theron

I am extremely frustrated with the ongoing delays in processing my third-party claim with Westwood Insurance. The incident occurred in December 2024, and despite repeated follow-ups, I have not received any meaningful updates. The third party involved has confirmed that they paid the excess, but Westwood has stalled the claim process with no clear explanation. Initially, I was advised not to claim with my own insurance and assured that Westwood would handle the matter directly. Additionally, I was instructed to get two separate quotations for the repairs, which I did, but nothing has progressed since then. My attempts to get in touch with their claims department have been met with silence, and it's now been several months without resolution. I am deeply disappointed with their lack of communication and the unnecessary delays. If this issue isn't resolved soon, I will be forced to escalate the matter to the Insurance Ombudsman and the National Consumer Commission. I strongly urge others to be cautious when dealing with this company, as their service has been unprofessional and unresponsive.

I would like to thank Kaylene Surjoo from Westwood Insurance Brokers for her prompt and excellent customer service. Yesterday (4th February 2025) I called her to log a windscreen claim, I was stressed to have the windscreen replaced asap as the car needs to attend a car show. Kaylene assisted, both telephonically and via email and my claim and windscreen replace in less then 24hrs. Thank you Kaylene for your excellent service Regards Cameron Theron

Yesterday (4th February 2025) I called her to log a windscreen claim, I was stressed to have the windscreen replaced asap as the car needs to attend a car show.
