Defy always blames customers for their microwaves or other appliances to stop working like we are responsible for them not to full proof their appliances not to be infested by insects. I stay in a place that is fumed every month but instead of fixing the thing they chose to blame me..like what did I I do wrong ? As a result, I’ve informed all my family we no longer buying their products cz other brands fix things without making excuses

Defy Twin**** gave me my Saturdays back* As a working mum, my Defy 18kg Twin**** Twin Tub is magic. It handles school uniforms, work clothes, and my husband’s dusty overalls in one go. The 15-min wash cycle is perfect for loadshedding gaps, and it’s tough enough for Lowveld red soil. Spin-dry means clothes are basically dry when they hit the line. Bought my Defy 4-plate stove 10 years ago and it’s still going strong. Oven still bakes perfectly and plates heat fast. Had to replace one plate switch in year 7 but that’s it. For the price, 10 years of daily use is excellent value. Defy really lasts.

If I could give 0 stars I would! I bought a new washing machine in June 2025. It has been repaired twice. The first time I was without a washing machine for 2 weeks, the second time I was unable to use it as it was leaking and it took them over 2 weeks to repair. It is now leaking again, and still having the same problem as the first time it was repaired. I was told 3 weeks ago that it will be replaced and it still has not happened. I will NEVER purchase a Defy product again.

If I could give 0 stars I would! I bought a new washing machine in June 2025. It has been repaired twice. It is now leaking again, and still having the same problem as the first time it was repaired. I was told 3 weeks ago that it will be replaced and it still has not happened. I am getting disappointed on Defy technician, I have bought a machine last year May which within a month it was making a loud sound, I logged a call for it to be locked at ref: 2157911 which they did 10 months later I am experiencing the same thing logged another call last month ref: 22257073advised them I have moved and changed numbers as well they have captured all that last week I called to check on status since they have advised it takes 3 business days for them to come. They advised they could not get hold of me I then asked them which numbers are they using they gave me my old numbers then I asked them I did advise I have changed numbers and address they updated that again but now no one is even calling or coming to fix or maybe they waiting for the 19th so that their warranty expires? Sent an email 3 weeks ago to the support mail and it never gets responded

Am very disappointed with the service I got from defy after purchasing a mirror microwave for R1600 and stopped working within 8 months of purchase. I took it back to Fair Price Mayibuye for repairs since it was still under warranty and defy refused to fix the microwave claiming there were ****roaches inside. I tried to show them the bad reviews on Takealot about a common default of a busting sound and not warming that many customers were complaining about, but they never listened. Spent money on transport taking it back to the store, now will have to spend again on a useless microwave that will require additional costs to fix even though it was still under warranty. A very disappointed because my hard-earned money is being flushed down the drains. Reference number 23695344
