I want to lay a compliant about the service I got from Gardmed Ambulance service, when my husband was very sick with severe Ulcer, and my husband was referred by his doctor to East London St Dominics Hospital. When I phone the Ambulance to this number (0730656660) to request for the Ambulance the lady transferred me to the guy, this guy phoned me by this number (0699234772) and requested the medical information and I provided him with all the information but the guy told me that they won't be able to come and fetch us because the funds from the medical aid are exhausted so we won't be assisted at the hospital because we have no funds. I had to hire a car from Fort Beaufort to East London because my husband was in pain and we arrived the hospital and we were assisted and I didn't pay even a cent from the Hospital; everything was covered by the same medical aid they told me I don't have funds with. I almost lost my husband because of their lies and not to care. I am so hurt and disappointed with their service, I will never recommend them to anyone.

I was woken up at 2.30 in the morning on a Sunday by severe abdominal pains and feared a serious condition, so I contacted Gardmed who were quick to respond and examined me in my own lounge with ECG, blood pressure etc. and diagnosed that my blood pressure was at 'stroke level'. They advised I go to Hospital in Port Elizabeth to see a doctor. In the ambulance they administered a saline drip to reduce the chance of a stroke and then transported me to hospital. It was found that the problem was gastric related and no longer serious, so I was able to return home. I can't praise the cheerfulness and efficiency enough. Its a service everyone should know about. They looked after everything, medical aid clearance, hospital contact and delivery to the appropriate place in the hospital.

They billed a 17 yr old and then told her a yr later she is 18 yrs old and there for responsible for the bill. They handed her account over yet it was a mistake on they side. Now my sister owes yet she was on medical aid at that time.

Thank you Gardmed for giving my 83 year old mom's account to Lannco, who added R417 to the amount of R583 so total R1000 from her sassa pension money. I hope you are proud of yourselves. What is the point of having medical aid if you are not prepared to submit the account to the medical aid (without informing the patient) and then hand it over to your associates Lannco for collection (some would call it exploitation). Totally unacceptable and shocking. Very sarcastic employees. Remind me to only deal with people who are fair and know how to deal with clients. Thank you. Will remember this bad experience. Oh... and next time tell your patient you will not be submitting the account to the medical aid and that they will be personally responsible for the account right from the beginning.

I would like to thank this ambulance service for their outstanding service and paramedics. I would like to make a special mention to Kate Williams and Zola her partner from the Port Elizabeth branch who attended to me on the 10 June 2021 after a serious reaction to medication. They were both compassionate and understanding. I highly rate their service!

I would like to thank this ambulance service for their outstanding service and paramedics. I would like to make a special mention to Kate Williams and Zola her partner from the Port Elizabeth branch who attended to me on the 10 June 2021 after a serious reaction to medication. They were both compassionate and understanding. I highly rate their service!

On Sunday 21 February 2021 my late wife Hester took a bad turn after having been discharged from hospital with arrangements for a scan at another hospital on Monday 22 February. She was in extreme distress and could not speak or walk. Gardmed was phoned urgently and in a short time arrived the most professional ambulance people it had ever been my fortune to meet. They cleaned and clothed my wife , carried he to the ambulance where she was stabilized and a drip was connected-all with calm assurance and respect. Mark and Heather will always be deep in my heart for this wonderful service

I was involved in a motor car accident in which I sustained injuries to my back and neck. While on the scene concussed and not really knowing what to do and where to start, they were on the scene and assisted me. Their examination was thorough and they advised that I should go to the hospital. I actually refused and insisted to stay with my car. They handed me their business card and really wanted me to be transported to hospital but I refused which I later regretted

Completely and utterly unsatisfied!!!!!!! A year ago my son was taken to hospital. Constant fight with med aid to pay. Received an email from Janet Sherman to say they waiting for payment and all is in order. A year later I get a notification from attorney to say I'm handed over....... After many calls and emails, and phone calls from med aid to her plus proof of payment done last year...... Still no joy. Finally it was sorted out today........ She is most definately not the right person for the job as she has NO manners what so ever. Numerous different peoples accounts was referred to me but has no relation. Completely unprofessional and incompetent. And this is a company who saves lives. I had to contact their attorneys myself to clear my name....... Not even an apology for unlawfully handing me over..... What a damn disgrace. Gardmed, you have left a bitter taste in my mouth!!!!!!!!!!
