We have bought this box , ATV495Max a while ago and have had endless problems with it and it just gets more and more problems the longer we have this , paid a lot for something that is basically useless keeps freezing up all the time remote keeps unpairing all the time my opinion not even worth buying this

We purchased a Mygica ATV495MAX Android device from Makro Woodmead and the advertising of this TV box was completely misleading. It advertises that it can play DSTV Now, can use Showmax and Spotify etc. Well DSTV Now does not work on this device, Showmax freezes all the time and Spotify is also an issue, the remote is also unpairing all the time, Netflix Beta version has been installed on my device from the Mygica support forum and that too freezes. It's not my wifi connection as I have 2 other android boxes and they work like magic. I took the box back to Makro WOODMEAD asking for them to hand the device back to the manufacturer for testing of which this was never done. Today my husband receives a nasty phone call from a Makro Employee stating that they will not send the device back for testing nor replace it nor refund us as the MANUFACTURER WHICH IS MYGICA HAS REFUSED TO ASSESS OUR FAULTY DEVICE. They will just give us back the broken device which clearly has a software issue. I would like to escalate this further in light of Mygica promoting a warranty policy which does not exist and false advertising. My reference number for my warranty claim is as follows **********. Please do call me back as I would like to know if MAKRO OR MYGICA are the guilty party as I will be taking this further.

I bought a mygica 495x in 06/2019. From the date of purchase the unit couldn't really connect to the wifi in the house unless the router is within 1m of the mygica box. I didnt think much of it at the time but as time went on my programs, movies, youtube started freezing more frequently. It updated automatically to make sure it has fhe latest software installed. I returned the unit Mid December 2019 to Incredible Connection where I bought it, the technician tested it and confirmed that there was a problem with the unit and send it to the supplier. In the process my unit got lost and the store replaced it after having to fight them about it. Now trying to setup the new unit it does not want to play youtube and netflix. I give up on this Mygica. I think its total waste of money.

I am experiencing lots of issues with MYGICA. Apart from the fact that it is extremely slow and often hangs - causing me to reboot every time - it also give me Error notices i.e. that it cannot read Netflix (Netflix outdated) / Showmax or that the equipment cannot play YouTube etc. When I connect to these programs through my PC or Smart TV I have no problem. Only when working through MYGICA on my 2nd TV. Can you urgent assist. I have been writing several mails but to date got no support. Only reference numbers MYGICA-5da8623540b69 and MYGICA-5daca82460756 when you send an email. Can you assist or is it time to inform others that MYGica does not work nor do you get any back-up support.

Also having a terrible experience. I own two atv495x boxes - both bought for R1500.00 each at Makro, now all of a sudden I cant stream showmax and no way to get assistance from them nor upgrade the boxes on line as their own website url page for firmware upgrade is not available! Pathetic - worst money spent I fee totally robbed at this stage!

Bought a mygica ATV495x. Truly terrible device. Extremely slow and unresponsive OS when using most apps except Netflix. For example Youtube. Default signal from remote literally interferes with any other device as well, which for me includes my TV, that it will constantly turn off. Not sure if I just got a terrible one off the production line or if they are all like this. But i would like to think QC would be better. Over all very displeased especially considering price bracket competes with amazons Firestick
