I’m a huge fan of FOM, but unfortunately last weeks in-store experience at Somerset Mall was one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had. I purchased a pair of shoes two weeks ago and went back to exchange them for a different pair that was approximately R300 cheaper. However, I was told that I would still need to pay in additional money, which made no sense to me. On the original purchase, I received a 15% discount after trading in my old pair of FOM shoes, and the store confirmed that the same discount would apply to the new pair as well. Despite this, I was still being asked to pay extra for shoes that were significantly cheaper than the original pair. In the end, I was effectively being asked to pay around R2500 for shoes priced at R2295, while the original pair cost R2495. Unfortunately I will not be supporting the brand again. This is unacceptable.
I am currently driving my second Hyundai. I had very few issues with my first vehicle and was generally satisfied with it. Unfortunately, my experience with this second car has been extremely disappointing. After just a few months, the vehicle began making unusual noises, including rattling sounds from the front end and the windscreen area. I have taken the car to the workshop four or five times to address these issues, but each time I receive a different explanation and the problem remains unresolved. Yesterday, I received a call from someone at Hyundai. When I tried to explain the ongoing issues, she behaved as though she could not hear me and abruptly ended the call. I found this to be highly unprofessional and rude. Today I decided I am going to get rid of the car. Hyundai will never see my business again.
I followed every step to submit my claim, made four phone calls, sent seven messages, and two emails — only to wait two weeks and then be told my claim was rejected. I haven’t made a single claim in 27 months. I even offered to cover the balance out of my own pocket, and they still refused. Easily one of the most disappointing service experiences I’ve had in South Africa.
Horrible customer service. Everyone is telling a different story!! Not to be trusted.
I have Fibre with supersonic and more often than not I do not have connection. I WFH and need wifi but this solution is horrible. Stay away
I upgraded to an MTN contract in 2022. Biggest mistake of my life. I never have any signal when I am not connected to Wifi. Have been in many situations where I needed to contact someone but does not have signal. Would not recommend
My car went in for a full service in January 2023. Since then everything seemed fine with the car. I have driven the car for +- 2000km after it being serviced. Less then 5 months later. Turns out there is no oil in the cars engine. My question to Hyundai Somerset West is: How come there is no oil in the car but I paid for oil when the car went in for a service?
Best service on Cape Town! Not just this branch but all Hussar Grill's in Cape Town have the best service.
Had a box shipped from Gauteng to Cape Town which was marked Fragile. The box arrived in Cape Town in very bad shape. Half of the things were broken.
