I've been trying to obtain an invoice for repairs carried out to my phone. After numerous calls, emails and other forms of communication, this is still not forthcoming. Very frustrated!

Hi had 2 tablets that went in for repair early November. Unfortunately I did not have the funds at the time to pay in my excess, the lady that I spoke to by the name of Thenjiwe advised that they had already repaired my tablets and that they would keep them until I made a payment. On Friday last week I made the excess payment and sent proof of payment to smartlab's account department as well as Thenjiwe. Up until today I have had no response. I tried calling I was placed on hold for 10mins. I tried 3 times today, still on hold, at present as I am writing this complaint, I have been on hold for 27minutes 44secs. Still no one is picking up and giving me feedback concerning the delivery of my tablets. I am so frustrated, I have email Thenjiwe twice still no feedback. Please can someone contact me concerning the repair of my tablets, as well as the delivery of on Tablets.

Well done SmartLab your bad service led me to write my first Hello Peter. After my S7 Edge Screen cracked my husband took my phone to Samsung Tygervalley and booked it in for repairs with SMARTLAB. They advised it would take 3-4 working days to repair. For a while we got updates but then it stopped. Eventually 3 weeks later i got hold of SmartLab and they advised all is in order and I can collect my phone at their Montague Gardens office. However when i went to collect it from SmartLab it was returned unrepaired. I questioned this and they just said i must go to Smartcare. I asked them why they did not contact me or my husband and they just looked at me. Even if they lost the contract to fix Samsung products, you should at least call the client and advise them to collect. Not sit with their phone for 3 weeks and rudely shove them to another company. It is not surprising that they no longer do any work for Samsung. Their service is pathetic.

Morning on the 11.11.16 I dropped a samsumg tablet off at the samsung store in the mall of the south.

The technician said that they would send it and see whats wrong with the tablet. I complained that it wasn't charging. On wednesday the 16.11.16 i recieved an sms stating that it would cost me R3361.00 to repair the tablet. Thats a rip off, first of all ,the tablet is only a year and half old. Secondly they did not inform me what was wrong with it. On monday the 21.11.16I went to the mall of the south to collect my tablet as i wasn't prepared to pay so much for something i didn't know what was wrong with. I was informed by one of the staff at the samsung store that the smartlab technicians don't operate from there anymore. Firstly smartlab didn't inform me that they weren't going to be operating from the store anymore. So I wasted my valuable time going there and petrol. I then phoned smartlab yesterday, and complained. I was told in no uncertain terms that the decision was made by one of the directors and that i now must go to their sandton branch to go and collect my tablet. Again smartlab wants to inconvenience me by wasting my time and petrol to go all the way to sandton to collect my tablet. I don't think so. Seeing that you have inconvenienced me enough, I feel that you should drop my tablet where I originally dropped it off at. As you found it unneccessary to inform me, as your client that you were going to move your technicians from the samsung store in mall of the south. Thanks a very unhappy client.
I walked into VnA (Waterfront Cape Town) Samsung Store and headed to their cellphone repair devision, or so we thought this repair dept was part of Samsung! We asked for a quote to fix my Samsung S6 ege screen and back, the device was in full working order. Smartlab quoted me then gave me phone back an hr later. There seemed to be an issue with the phone straight after receiving it. I tried vodacom to assist but each time I tried it came down to a software issue and Vodacom recommended whoever worked on it try sort out first. It became a back and forth with Vodacom and this SmartLab. I refused to leave the store until either they came with me to Vodacom or someone from Vodacom came to their store to resolve the issue. Fortunately this did happen and a guy from Vodacom Store came. By then SmartLab did a software upgrade and it fixed the problem so Vodacom was not needed despite what SmartLab said. Some of my settings were out on the phone.

As this quote was all in aid of fixing the phone I finally got the green light from my insurance company asked if this Smarlab could order the phone - they said I had to physically come in and pay a deposit and order it. So I say fine I will come in. I then get an email on the weekend from Nathan saying they have the part and I come in (but yet they said implicitly on the phone they couldn't do that way). I arrive Monday to the Waterfront to book the phone in when guys in Samsung Store say this company has moved on Sunday already to a store near Century City and they aren't actually part of Samsungs repair devision, but in fact independent guys that Samsung contracted. When Smartlab moved out the Samsung Store meant that this contract with Samsung had ended according to a sales person at Samsung. The sales person proceeded to hand me a piece of paper for a Samsung Care Centre which is part of Samsung. Holding back my utter frustration - I said to them that is all I wanted all along - a reputable company to fix my phone, but instead I felt mislead because these guys worked from a Samsung Store that they were part of Samsung. Unbelievable unnecessary issues - why don't they have their own people fixing phones!!

Good day

I sent my phone Samsung A5 to Samsung Sandton branch for repairs. Which I was quoted R1647.00 for repairs of the screen and I was informed that if I can't pay that much I'll have to pay R150 for the assessment of the phone. On the 25/02/2016 I got an sms to come collect my phone for a quote rejection which I had planned to do at the end of March. But I then got admitted in ICU from the 29/02/2016. I then requested my brother to go fetch the phone and pay the R150 for me seeing that the 90 days will pass while I'm still at the hospital.

Smartlab refused the R150 payment from him and said they need my ID to release anything. So he couldn't get my ID because he was from Boksburg, I was in the CBD, and he works crazy hours he couldn't come to hospital to get the ID and go back to Sandton again for me.

I was released in hospital 2weeks later and was booked off work for another 2 weeks due to 3 operations I had. I never got any communication from Smart lab to say since they chased my brother away the phone will be sold, and that's another thing that was never communicated when I signed, that my phone would be sold and I'll lose the proceeds too. Otherwise I'd have pushed to get it collected because I didn't have the money to pay for repairs of R1647.00 then.

I then called on the 3rd November 2016 at 12:07 and spoke to Mapule who advised me that the phone has been sold but promised to speak to the workshop manager and find out if the phone is still available. She called me on the 14/11/2016 at 11:33 am to say indeed the phone has been sold and the manager said there's nothing they can do. I then asked what about the proceeds made from that sale then because my phone was only 4months old, and amounted to R4500. They sold my phone to get the R150 for assessment, what about the proceeds then if I can't get the phone back? Mapule said she doesn't know then.

Please assist me. I need my phone back because there was no communication to me about selling it. Or they must pay me the proceeds of the sale.

Regards

Zama

I am really disappointed with the service received from Jetmart, Wynberg.

I decided to buy a mobile phone last year, CASH. This phone has been at Smartlab most of the time. I have my receipt when I purchased the phone as well as the paper work when I took my phone in and received it again and again.

Yet, this time (which would be the 2nd time) I returned my phone, I was told to pay a certain amount for something they need to do.

I hardly used the phone, the phone has been with Smartlab for more than 7 months in total. This is really unacceptable and I would actually insist that I get my money back and not a "repaired" phone.

Hopefully I get some kind of response as no one at Jetmart seems to be very helpful.

Regards,

Sherizaan

**********
