I purchased a product online and my cash got deducted. 2 weeks later I received the free sample product but not my item purchased. I have sent smashbox countless emails and fb messages and called but they don’t answer or respond. They keep asking for order number which I sent thrice but don’t respond to assist or refund. Smashbox steals your cash!! Don’t buy online!! For a huge makeup company, I think people aren’t purchasing as much and therefore they are stealing money from clients in covid period. I’m disgusted and appalled by their behavior!! I will no longer support them and I purchase monthly!

Smashbox sent me a promotional offer of 15% off my first order (woohoo), so I placed an order. The discount code wasn't applied, and I immediately queried that with customer service. They replied over a week later, saying that I was sent samples, and as only one offer applies per order, the discount wasn't applied. I specifically selected the discount offer, by entering in the code, but the sample offer was chosen for me. So why widely advertise a discounted first order if it's not going to happen? And then customer service takes over a week to reply? I find that deliberately misleading and disingenuous. Plus - other makeup companies routinely send samples with orders above a certain value, and that doesn't negate any discounts or offers, so it's not like it's common practice.

Absolute terrible service. They do not communicate or send order like they say they would. the call center is an absolute joke. I need either my Order or better yet a refund as I am sure the product is going to be as lackluster as the service!!

Terribly disappointed in this product and waisted my money. I moved from Estee Lauder after years to Smashbox because their new foundation is waterproof with good coverage... DON’t get fooled. One drop of water and your whole faces’ foundation in ruined with spots and lines. Don’t waist your money. Not waisting R590 again

I am So sorely disappointed to report the poorly managed response received from the Marketing division of Smashbox's Glamglow portfolio. My sister and i were so excited to purchase the Glamglow Gravity Mud Mask, and were rather revolted by the fact that the mask was clearly expired / fungus-infected upon opening it. Nevertheless, the heartbreak comes in where Glamglow's response to this is that we may simply exchange it for another one. Thanks Glamglow. Will you give us a ride to the mall? One would think that in such enlightened times, companies would seek to address time wastage and overall client disappointment when products are unacceptable for use. Clearly, reputation and client loyalty are not high priority in this instance. Thanks for the lesson

I purchased a lipstick a month ago from Edgars, Mall of Africa. The lipstick was on sale from R300 to R150. I have never purchased Smashbox but I have heard great reviews of it. I tried on the tester and there was no issue. The one I purchased however was extremely sticky on my lips and could have been expired. I purchase a lot of makeup and have never experienced a product as such. I emailed edgars and asked the Smashbox consultant to return my call or respond in any way but I have not received a response since. I am greatly disappointed in the product and customer service that I have received and the product after 2 uses has now been thrown away. This purchase might be small but as a high end brand the brand should certainly not create doubt.

Went to your little smashbox store in Foschini Canal Walk with R2500 ready to spend on certain products I have been eying for quite some time. Saved the money and decided to buy today. While looking at the sale products, my friend saw an eyeshadow palette that was on sale due to black friday and showed it to me. As he was reading about the product and the colours etc, one of you staff members who was wearing a black scarf, fair in complexion and had a nose ring, literally GRABBED it out of his hand and threw it in the draw behind her. We did not know why she done that and we stood in awe. I then said excuse me but he was still reading that and she just said the product not suppose to be there, it was kept aside for another customer. I dont mind that products are kept aside but to RANDOMLY GRAB THE PRODUCT OUT OF OUR HAND IS HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE. She did not even apologize and just carried on talking to another staff member. Took my money and spent it on Mac rather since they have excellent customer service and friendly staff who are always willing to help!

<p>I had been to the Smashbox counter at the Edgars store on the 26/10/2016 to make a booking for my make up to be done on the 29/10/2016 @ 13h00. The booking was made by a consultant by the name of Happy who made the appointment in front of me, writing it down in her black book. On arrival on Saturday the 29/10/2016 @ 13h00 to my horror I found an empty counter with no consultant to assist me. I had waited well over 5minutes until the consultant from Black up came to assist me. She had said to me that there was no consultant at Smashbox and that Happy had taken the day off!!! needless to say that I was horrified as I had taken the time to make a booking leaving my details and no one thought is was necessary to call and inform me of the situation. Smashbox is unprofessional and no nothing about customer service. I use Smashbox products and thus opted to have my makeup done by them and not any of the other international brands. I will never again use their products again on principle. it's a pity they have such a low opinion on customer service and quality service delivery. for a huge international brand this treatment is unacceptable and disgusting. I would never recommend Smashbox to anyone as they are unreliable , unprofessional and do not value their customers. they are only interested in making a sale to the detriment of the customer. completely and utterly disappointed </p>
