We bought my daughter's HP laptop last year at Makro, under warranty for a year it started giving my daughter problems in May this year. We took the laptop to pinnacle in June this year for repairs however, we're not getting any assistance to date. Been taken from pillar to post when making enquiries about the laptop. My daughter is back at school without a laptop which has been with pinnacle for more than a month. Dineo Moloi wrote an email to my partner saying it can be collected d on 19 June 2025 , only to find out there's no such laptop hasn't been fixed. My daughter's suffering at varsity without a laptop which only survived for a year now they say it has motherboard issues . Reference number 17610

It is with a bitter taste that I am highlighting the distasteful and disgusting customer service Telkom store at the Glen Shopping Center and its warranty department ‘Pinnacle Warranty’ has treated me with. I purchased a laptop and printer in 2022. Laptop has since not being working to its desired capacity. I had brought the matter to Telkom at the Glen Shopping’s attention and I was advised to send emails back and forth with their warranty company Pinnacle. Please note… I had to do the work they were employed for. I received the laptop back from Pinnacle on the 10.08.2023, with communication that the issue was resolved by replacing the hard drive, as mentioned by Pinnacle to have been the reason behind the terribly slow response. To my surprise, the slow response was worst then before handing the machine over to Pinnacle. I visited the Telkom store at The Glen Shopping center on the 14.08.2023 and WOW, the incompetence, lack of empathy, the carelessness and nonchalant behavior towards providing the service which I pay for, is utterly unfavorable at that store. None of the ladies at the Telkom store wanted to provide any service to me and told me there’s nothing they can do. I asked to speak to a supervisor in the store and they stated there was no supervisor available. I will also highlight Telkom at the Glen to the CPA. I have all my immediate family on the Network service provider and have recommended my father-in-law as well. Enjoy my service while it last, as it will be cut short in the not too distant future.

. After three weeks of having my laptop for a warranty repair. The repair centre sent it back with a bitlock activated which no one on God's green earth can unlock unless it's sent back to them. They promised to pick up the laptop. NOTHING. They don't pick up their phones. Someone called Treat Mabuza is supposed to be a manager. Completely missing in action. Never answers a phone. The repair centre is completely useless. Meanwhile a usless man at the warranty centre closed the ticket. The only one helping is a lady called Fatima. She tried her absolute best and should be commended. The whole organization and everyone working with them is completely and utterly hopeless. So don't buy any laptop from Evetech, because the warranties are a disaster.

Pinnacle Warranty holds the warranty for 12 HP laptops that my company purchased from Evetech on behalf of a customer. When one of the laptops crashed, Evetech directed us to Pinnacle Warranty to have the unit collected and repaired. Despite a number of emails requesting resolution, it took Pinnacle Warranty a full week to collect the laptop from the customer. The excuse provided by staff was that they were waiting for warranty confirmation. Two weeks after collection, neither the customer (from whom the unit was collected), nor my company has received feedback from Pinnacle Warranty regarding the status of the unit. Pinnacle has failed to respond to emails from my company and from Evetech's Support Manager, who we contacted in desperation when we received no response from Pinnacle Warranty. I strongly recommend that tech retailers do not make use of Pinnacle Warranty as a warranty holder. The company's failure to provide good service reflects poorly on the retailers. Additionally, I recommend that consumers verify which company holds the warranty of electronics purchased from retailers and, if it is Pinnacle Warranty, that they reconsider the purchase.

I purchased an ASUS laptop from makro in February fast forward September my laptop won't switch on. Returned to makro and I was advised to contact Pinnacle warranty myself, they collected my device on the 29th of September through RAM. 08 October I receive an email stating that my device has been repaired and will be returned to me. 23 October I receive a call telling me that my device's cause for not switching on is due to liquid damage! And that they will give me a quote as it is not covered!!! Mind you I had not even activated Microsoft word on my laptop. I received the WORST SERVICE EVER!! I AM ANGERED AND IN DISBELIEF AT THEIR NEGLIGENCE AND THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY!! I CAN'T EVEN RECEIVE A REFUND AS MY WARRANTY EXPIRED IN AUGUST!! Aphiwe Dlamini

I purchased a HP laptop and printer from Makro 19 January 2020. Around the 13 June my printer stopped working on my computer. As I register everything I immediately went onto HP website and followed instructions - still no joy. A friend checked - no joy. I went into to see Makro - Rowand- who arranged HP Tech guys to help on the 28 June. Ayanda and another young man from HP arrived and worked on my computer from 8.30am to 11am - their boss turned he worked till 2.30pm no joy - printer works on all other computers. He told me to phone Pinnacle who are experts. 29th June spoke to Pinnacle - received email 2 July instructing me how to pack Laptop. Every time I call there is a different excuse and promises of returned phone calls. Eventually on the 22nd July they decided needed to check my printer. On the 7 August at 12.33pm I phoned and spoke to Precious - she informed me someone would call me back. There are zero managers as they work from home apparently. I asked please ask one of them to phone - As at 9.11am 12 August I have no freaking idea where or what is going on with my Laptop and Printer. Not one person from Pinnacle has had the decency to call me or advise me - it is me who makes the phone calls week after week. I now would appreciate a senior manager calling me and advising what is going on. You have had my Laptop since the 6th July and printer since 22 July. Patricia Wright

I contacted Pinnacle as I was experiencing problems with my new Acer laptop I purchased from Makro. With it comes the contact details and process flow from Pinnacle. I phone them on the number provided to be told that I contacted the wrong number and was immediately cheesed of, on contacting them I was instructed to forward my invoice and the serial number of the unit which I complied with on 26/06/2020. Reply from Pinnacle that they could not find the warranty and I must forward them an image of the serial number. Comply immediately. They unit was collected on 27/06/2020. received confirmation 30/06/2020 that unit was booed in No communication after that. Their processes says the the customer must contact them provide details, they collect a communicate with client on repairs and continue to communicate with client, deliver repaired unit or replace unit. On 03/07/2020 I contacted Pinnacle again to find out the status of my laptop to be told that the laptop was booked into the warehouse but they do not know there the laptop is. I then demanded that they find the laptop. On Monday 06/07/2020, Pinnacle contacted my to provide passwords and to get my consent that if they could reload the software which I gave. After that no news I contacted Pinnacle again on 10/07/2020 to find out the progress whether the laptop was fixed. To be told that the software was reloaded and the the problem still persists. I then demanded action and feedback on same day as business is standing with no laptop. to date received no communication. I am not satisfied with the service that I am receiving from Pinnacle. they are mandated by the computer companies to provide service with excellence. I have and is not experiencing that from Pinnacle. As a consumer I am tired of the unprofessional work that we are subjected to. I hope that this will ensure that we will receive better service. Would I recommend Pinnacle? I will think twice.

Absolutely useless people employed at this place. I had issues with my laptop which i purchased from Makro, they referred me to this waste company. Sent in the laptop which clearly had a battery problem, they return it a week later stating they reinstalled the OS but the problem was not fixed. Further to this, it is impossible to get through to their phone line as it is continuously engaged. Worst service providers i have ever dealt with.
